Wednesday, September 2, the first day of the official program of the 27th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) International Wine Competition was marked by the arrival of expert wine tasters. During the day, 250 tasters from 46 countries arrived in Brno to evaluate 8,500 competing wines from all over the world between Friday and Sunday.

In 2020 the South Moravian region will host the prestigious international wine competition Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB). The agreement for our participation in its organisation was signed by the regional governor Bohumil Šimek and the CMB’s managing director Thomas Costenoble.

Wines from Moravia and Bohemia has been introduced in Switzerland

Wines from the Czech Republic has been introduced during festive oeno-gastronomic lunch in Switherland on the Chateau of Aiglé on the last competition day of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2019. Over 350 expert wine tasters from all over the world enjoyed our wines togather with traditional moravian food.

South Moravia and the city of Brno in the Czech Republic have been chosen to host the 2020 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. The news was revealed today after the final tasting session in Aigle. True to the tradition of the competition, the mayor of Aigle, Frédéric Borloz, solemnly handed over the Concours Mondial wine glass

Historically the year 2018 became the most successful medal year ever and has once more confirmed the perpetually growing quality of Moravian and Bohemian wines. In all, our winemakers were awarded 909 medals, which is an almost unbelievable 181 more than the total gained during the previous year, itself a record-breaking year as well.
